Я вообще считаю религию одним из самых больших зол общества. И настоящей трагедией может стать засилье религии в обществе. Посмотрите, что происходит в мире, на войны и беженцев. Религиозные люди начинают — вопреки законам разума, здравого смысла и науки — диктовать нам, как мы должны вести себя в этом мире. И руководствуются они при этом постулатами, которые не менялись со времен средневековья. И потому много у нас проблем в современном мире, в нашей Европе. И платит она за ошибки других. Только представьте себе картину, если бы европейцы вдруг побежали на Восток. Не можете? Но почему-то бежать в Европу стало чем-то само собой разумеющимся. Только не интерпретируйте мое высказывание так, будто мне не жалко людей или я не сочувствую их несчастьям. Наоборот, очень сочувствую. Я ведь очень русский человек. И поэтому я за все переживаю, очень переживаю.
— Что на ваш взгляд происходит сегодня в европейском обществе? К чему все идет?
В мире наступает период дегуманизации. История, прошлое — повторяются. Война — страшная сила, когда она наступает, люди теряют свою человечность и гуманность. В них вселяется дьявол. Сейчас мы видим это и в Европе, и в России. Россия всегда была хорошей и верной сестрой своим европейским сестрам. И народ у нас замечательный, но есть у него одна черта — не любит он искать виновных среди себя. Людям кажется, во всем виноваты другие — политики, власть, иностранцы. Но ведь мы тоже живем в эти времена, мы тоже ответственны за то, что происходит вокруг нас, не только власть. То же самое происходит в Европе.
